Have you grown up in a Pentecostal church? Or a charismatic denomination, maybe? Were you part of the faith movement, the prosperity theology or another conservative Christian fellowship?
In that case, you have most likely heard that homosexuality is a sin. That Christian faith and same-sex relationships cannot be combined. That homosexuality is an abomination in God's eyes. That being transgender is perverse and a sin against the creation.
You've probably also felt guilt and shame because you feel like you do. That there is something "wrong" with you. That you are dirty, sinful and nasty, and that God is not happy with you
In Skeivt kristent nettverk (SKN) – Queer Christian Network – we do not discuss whether or not it is possible to be an LGBT person of faith. The network is established completely convinced that those two are not opposites. And we really want for you to become just as convinced!
On this site, we want you who are Christian and LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender), or who struggle with your sexual identity and/or gender identity to be able to read and find that you are good enough just as you are.
In many parts of the world, there are theologians, priests and pastors who, after long and thorough studies, have changed their views on what the Bible has to say about same-sex relationships.
